Wellington 6-a-side Carnival coming up in August

Wellington will host our annual 6-a-side Carnival on Sunday 6 August 2017

Get your teams organised or just give your name to Allan or Kim at the admin counter.
Our carnival attracts teams from all over the region. A great FUN day of soccer with your mates.

This week is the last week of Soccer before the July school holidays.
No soccer on 8 & 15 July.

Local Wellington Comp

Under 6

Goldies v Diamonds was a well matched game. For the Diamonds great defending by Levi and Addie. Good attacking by Alby and Corey and midfield work by Cooper. Lochlan had an outstanding game for Goldies supported by Dakota in defence.

Under 8

Amazing Goannas v Red Rubies. Excellent goalie skills from John for Goannas and well played everyone, we enjoyed the giggles. Christo, Heidi and April played well for Red Rubies.

Under 10

Kangaroos v Manly Eagles – Well done to Kangaroos. Eagles player Oli did a great job in goals, Eagles worked hard in defence.

Under 13

Game of the round – Maroon Monsters (2) v Team F (2) Tight game with Macy Everingham outstanding for Maroon Monsters and Savannah Lang for F Team.


Combined teams was the order of the day. Two games running with a lot of laughs and a range of skill levels.

Warriors (Dubbo District Junior Comp)

Under 11

Warriors 11s Gold had the home ground advantage this week when they met SASS Asteroids in a tough encounter against the Dubbo side.

Warriors 11s Maroon were away at Lady Cutler in Dubbo where they played Newtown Saints

Under 13

Warriors U13s also had an away game where the played a strong match against the Orana Spurs & recorded a 3 - 0 win against their Dubbo rivals.
Heavenly Dwyer received this week's 'player of the match'

Under 17

Warriors 17s had their first game of the split comp where they encountered Dubbo City Power Rangers at home in Wellington.
This was a good quality match with plenty of soccer skills on show from both teams.
The Warriors although missing a couple of key players, got the upper hand during the 2nd half & recorded a good win 4 - 0
Will Edwards was this weeks 'Golden Boot' recipient.

Seniors (Dubbo District Senior Comp)

Womens Warriors (Div 2)

Womens Warriors played a depleted but 'top of the table' South Dubbo Wanderers at home in Wellington.
Wellington came out firing & were determined not to miss the opportunity put away the competition leaders. As the match wore on the Wellington women really started connecting some passes, the match finshing in a decisive 7 - 1 win to Wellington.
Kahla Chown received the mug for player of the match.

Womens Wildcats (Div 1)

The Wildcats also had the home ground advantage where they were matched against old foes RSL 78s in the early timeslot.
This was an exciting match that finished with a 2 - 2 draw.

Mens Warriors

The menss team had an away game @ Dubbo's Lady Cutler where they faced off against Dubbo Westside.
This was a tough encounter but was tied up 1 - 1 at the half time break. The 2nd half saw the Westside mob take advantage of a penalty shot and a header late in the half to claim the victory by 3 - 1
Dave Grant was awarded 'player of the match'
